Whining noise, oil pump?

About a week ago I started up my 2000 RL and randomly was greeted with an obnoxious whine. Its not a screech or anything like that and it doesnt sound belt related but im no expert. Its hard to describe but it sounds like a pump, and from what ive researched online it sounds like the oil pump going, although every example ive found online is much louder than what im getting. Its loudest at idle and it goes up in pitch slightly as i accelerate, up to a certain point where it either stops or gets drowned out by normal engine noise. Im not getting any oil lights or check engine lights and its not throwing any codes, and I havent noticed any performance differences or abnormalities.

Ive tried to record it to give you guys an example but I cant seem to get a good recording with my phone's mic. Ill post what I have but youre really only able to hear it with earbuds plugged in.

^link to the recording. Its just me in neutral pushing the throttle but if you can hear it itll give you a pretty good idea of whats going on.
