1st gen RL with 2nd gen RL wheels?

Anyone done it? I found a set of 2005 RL wheels for $200 for sale locally and thinking about running them as a winter set on an 02 RL.

Has anyone done this? It's a good price. Are there any pictures of this set up floating around?

Thanks in advance.

Never mind. I just did some searching and 05+ are 5x120.

Sorry for the wasted web space.

What do you guys think of the Genesis 19" wheel?

Found a local sale, thinking about going to check if it'll fit the RL once I pick it up. It is a staggered set up though... 19x8 and 19x8.5

Those are pretty cool, actually. They would look alot better (imo) if they had a little lip to them. But still cool, none the less.

I agree with that.

I believe they went from a 15" in 01 to a 16" in 02.

Straight from Acura:

The 2002 Acura 3.5 RL is equipped with wide P225/55R16 Michelin tires (up from 215/60R16 Michelin in 2001)

http://www.hondanews.com/categories/757/releases/164

You should all check the Acuranews.com under the Archive section, look up the different years for the RL and see what changes they made.

I'll make a sticky and a model year post.

^Thanks! That does look really good. I always wanted TL-S rims for my TL but I have the 2.5 with 4 lugs - never had many options.

I think you just pushed me into the right direction, thank you.

i believe those are from a CL-S; i would get the CL-S because they're 17x7 while the TL-S is only 17x6.5.

Agreed. I'd love to get my hands on a set of '02 wheels. They're my favorite RL wheels, along with the '98 "Special Edition" wheels.

Vas, you seriously thinking about parting with your '02 wheels?

If I do, I'd keep the stock wheels..

Tried these babys on yesterday:

I might just stay stock though and save up for an e30 again. This would be my 3rd.

How much are you looking to get for your wheels/tires? What kind of tires?

tires are yokohama avid v4 all-season tires in size 225/55/16 with roughly 70% left all around. wheels have minor surface scratches from usage and balance weights. no cracks, bends or any deep scratches; tires are in excellent condition with even wear. looking to get $350 for all 4. since you're local, save on shipping.

Silver3.5, I wouldn't park so close to other cars in Southridge unless you are looking to get new paint soon. you know how Milwaukeans are on slamming their doos in other cars.

i know what you mean...and it's a pain to see a new door ding every time after going to a crowded place..like the mall or theater. most of the time, i always park far away from everybody else..trying to avoid door dings. but regardless, there will always be those that will do it on purpose. people are so disrespectful these days....

whoa thought that was my car at first,

I got a question though, what's the best size tires on TL-S rims on an RL? I think I have 255/45/17 right now and I don't like it at all

I think 255's may be a little wide.

I'd go with a 235 MAX, stock is 225.

actually I think i have either 235 or 245 /45/17. I have to go out and look and take a pic.

I guess I don't like it because of the wheel well gap and I feel a lot of the road which I think is because of the thinner 45?
