What do you have on there now?
i have 225/50/17 on. 235 is the max i would go too but not too sure how it'll look or fit since the wheels are only 17x7.

I guess I don't like it because of the wheel well gap and I feel a lot of the road which I think is because of the thinner 45?
pics of your setup would definitely help me in my decision...

I'd also like to see some pics.

Stock wheels come with 55 series tires, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run even 55's on 17" wheels, there is enough room in the wheel well.

I remember first time I got 17's for my first TL (2002 or 2003), I had to drop it right away because I couldn't stand the wheel well.

That's really the biggest reason I don't want to get wheels for the RL, it'll turn into thousands of $ spent on wheels/suspension. I'd rather build an additional bathroom in my basement...

TL wheels work well too. I've seen some locally for sale, rims and tires, for around $160 on Craigslist

Can I put 03-04 wheels on a year 2000 and put my smaller 215/60/16 tires on the 03-04 wheels?

If you need help on more than one subject you might consider making your own thread and writing something with periods using concise thoughts that will get your questions across better.

There are compatibility issues with the 00+ cluster in 99's and older. Regardless if you do or don't have TCS the VSA light will always be on. It will also never indicate if your traction control off. That's all I recall but their could be more.

Also was there any changes to suspension units when they upped the tire size?

Vas, that RL looks pretty good. What color is that and which wheels are those?
