Changing TPMS sensors. Anything special need to be done?

Yup. The average weekend warrior/do it yourselfer has the right tool for this job in their tool box. Hell, my dad has the right tool for this job and he doesn't fix anything himself. Shocking that a professional install shop would not have an 11mm socket and ratchet.

So true guys, I should have known better though, the shop was one of those quick turnover tire shops that can change tires fast but things that get even a little technical might fool them.

It was definitely my fault for not being better schooled on exactly what to do cause I could have installed them myself and gave it to them just to mount the tires.

It's not your fault. They shouldn't be attempting tasks outside of their realm of automotive knowledge.
