Lightbulb How to install Hella DRL LED

Installation of these DRL is required in connection with the introduction of new laws in Russia, set up automatic DRL binding on all machines. I chose Hella DRL. Maybe the installation location is not the easiest thing, but after installing the DRL look like a native.

When I start the ignition, DRL lights at full power. When the headlights on, DRL lights at half power.

That's awesome, I love it. How much did you pay for the LEDs, and what did you have to do to stop the normal DRLs (high beam) from coming on?

Thanks for posting the pics.

Edit: looks like you can find them for around $240 for the kit

I have a feeling that his car did not come with the high beam DRLs as he was required to have to install DRLs and chose the LED route.

I am mistaken as I read the diagram incorrectly. You are correct that the under hood fuses are on at all times. I was reading the driver's side under-dash box diagram.

I see that your Hella LED dims when your headlamp is on. Hence when you headlamp is off it is brighter right?

My does the same as well. I installed a Hella Style on my RL before. Since my RL lease was up. I got a TL and installed a set of Nolden Slimline LED. My too dims when the headlamp is on and brighter when it is off. But I have a module where I can disconnect the wire when I can have it full bright if I have my headlamp on or off

My RL

Current TL

In Euro version of Honda Legend doesn't exist such DRL modul.
About price: actually, you are right, on Russia it cost 240-250$

I used auxiliary box to take signal from the ignition.

It is start on after ignition "on" but the signal stays "on" about 2 min after ignition "off".

I'm here...

Thank you MyKL.

That's exactly what I'm going to do.

But I will use OSRAM

Osrams are directly connected to battery and they start when they feel alternator is running.

What about Hella?
