stereo code

Replaced my battery on my 97 RL. Can't find the stereo code.

Called Acura customer service and they said I need to find a sticker somewhere around the stereo like te glove box or the like, or I would have to take it in to the dealer and have it pulled.

I there anything I can do short of having to take it to the dealer and paying to have it pulled to get the number off the back of the unit?

Thanks for your replies.

Cbrig:

It may be underneath the fusebox cover in the engine bay, driver's side. Check there, you'll be looking for a five digit code.

Good luck!

If you dont want to pay the dealer id say do it yourself. Its pretty simple and ive gotten it down to under 10 minutes to take it out.

don't go to the dealer man, they charged me $120 for my dad Mdx Navi. Go to youtube and search for honda/acura radio code see if it that method will work on the RL. If not, just take it out yourself and save some money. Have you looked at the manual sometime it is hidden in there

From what I've read too, you can check for a 5 digit number under your front ashtray.
