IM BATMAN.. New Look

So i got bored and decided to play with plasti dip. It turns alot more heads now. Half the people do not even know what the car is. It has been called a CC, C class, Audi. It was very easy to do. Took about 4 hours to do. covered up some rock chips and light scratches in the surface. It is super stealth i could not see the car 25 feet away sitting in the driveway last night. The headlights were peeled off i just wanted to do some pictures in stealth mode.

Any chance we can see some pictures of the car after you took it off the headlights?

"Got bored" must be a relative term.

I'm all for it. I'm just jelly I don't have four hours to play.

I agree on the rims. Throws it off, but I can imagine that pulling the dip off of the wheels with that many rivets and spokes must be a PITA.

Holy shit. I never realized how expensive that stuff is. I just Googled and it's like $75-$100/gallon. You just "got bored" and decided to coat your car with $400 worth of plasti-dip?

If not then he should peel off the chrome part of the trim peace and the inner parts of the front grill. It would balance out with the rims.

that was the main purpose of dipping the car was to eliminate the chrome. the bumper corners have chips. and plan to leave just Legend, A logo's, upper and lower grill pieces and trunk strip chrome.

Car looks good. I think if you peeled off the chrome it would look a little better. As if you painted it on purpose. Worst case, if it doesn't look good, you still have paint to do those pieces over.

I'd really like to see it with the headlights peeled.

with the wheels chrome lip. door trims and door bumpers front/rear bumper car just had too much chrome going on for me. plus always had a thing for Satin black. alot cheaper than a paint job and isn't permanent.

It came out nice, I would just dip the lips of the rims and see how that would look.

Maybe the when the head lights are uncovered it will look better. I would probably do the mirror blinkers too. Just the wheels is too little chrome. It looks out of place. Maybe the lining around the windows?

I am liking it. Really curious to see it with the headlights uncovered. I also agree with 007, maybe uncover the mirror blinkers too. Just my opinion, in the end it is your car. I have always been a fan of the matte black, never thought about it doing it to the RL, but I like how it looks.

Dayum...I really want to do this to my 99 TL. It needs a paint job anyway, and to DIY it would be awesome. Nice job OP

Easiest car wash ever. High pressure soap. then rinse. dries with a few water spots if that quick detail and it goes away

This is amazing, that it can be applied and removed. How easy was the spray? masking off, and did you just spray right over the gaps and grooves? Or section by section?

i just taped off large panels like the sunroof, windows, windshield, etc. i sprayed it all at once continuous. then before it dried i sprayed the gaps and inner door handles with the spot spray. i am a horrible painter and i only have 1 little area that i dont like due to a neighbor that ashed his cigarette and landed in the wet dip.
